Job summary

FCA Packaging is seeking a motivated Crate Builder to design, assemble, and customize crates for secure transport of materials and equipment. You'll work with woodworking, carpentry, and construction knowledge to meet precise specifications and ensure safe packaging solutions.

The role involves reading blueprints, collaborating in a fast-paced production setting, and maintaining accurate timekeeping. Second shift offers a $1 shift premium and a first shift option; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or building environments.
• Experience using a nail gun.
• Ability to read blueprints and operate in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with a team.
• Basic computer skills to log in/out of a timekeeping system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Work with fellow production assemblers in a team environment.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints for crate design and assembly.
• Maintain reliable attendance as part of the shift schedule.
• Identify and report equipment defects and maintenance needs to keep a safe, efficient workspace.
• Keep the work area clean and dispose of scrap lumber.
