Job summary

Timber Creek, an FCA Packaging Brand, is seeking a Crate Builder to design, assemble, and customize crates for secure transport of materials and equipment. You will work with wood, carpentry, and construction techniques to meet precise specifications across residential remodels and industrial restorations.

In addition to standard duties, the role requires reading basic blueprints, collaborating with teammates, and maintaining strong safety practices in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience in construction or carpentry preferred.
• Experience using a nail gun preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crate Builder to join our dynamic construction and restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, assembling, and customizing crates to securely transport a variety of materials and equipment. Your expertise in woodworking, carpentry, and construction will ensure that each crate is built to precise specifications, providing safe and reliable packaging solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to industrial restorations.

Essential Functions:

• Work among other production assemblers as a team environment.
• Specification Checks. Able to read and interpret basic blueprints.
• Attendance must be reliable and expected.
• Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it. Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts. Work with other team members to accomplish tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
• Housekeeping such as sweeping and disposing of scrap lumber.

Preferred but not required:

• Construction or building experience.
• Experience using a nail gun.
• Ability to read blueprints and familiarity in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with a team.
• Basic computer skills needed to log in and out of time keeping system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
