Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a warehouse specialist to accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock, and to monitor, organize, and maintain inventory across multiple branch locations.

You will work on the warehouse floor, operate heavy machinery, and ensure timely data entry into our inventory management system, supporting production requirements and quality assurance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory management system.
• Ability to use tape measure and calipers for material inspection/measurement.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in written work and data entry.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, cherry-picker).

Responsibilities

• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations.
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
• Identify material shortages and issues and communicate to appropriate staff.
• Perform verification of scrap and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
• Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
• Participate in health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.

Your responsibilities

To accurately provide inventory information for company controlled material stock. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company product at multiple branch locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags
• Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
• Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
• Perform verification of scrap
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
• Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery
• Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies
