Job summary

DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering seeks an Associate Engineer for our Nashville, TN office, joining a team focused on motor vehicle crash reconstruction. You will conduct field investigations using 3D laser scanning, drones, and photography, then analyze speed, damage, impact forces, and driver response in the office with advanced software tools.

The role blends fieldwork and in-office analysis, with roughly 50% regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline required.
• Master’s degree candidates preferred.
• Academic or applied experience in technical research, analysis, or engineering projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections, vehicle assessments, and rapid-response investigations.
• Apply engineering principles to analyze vehicle motion, damage patterns, and driver response.
• Prepare clear, technically accurate written materials in support of engineering reports.
• Collaborate with engineers and client engagement staff on multiple projects with deadlines.
