CraneWorks in Olathe, KS is seeking a skilled welder–fabricator to build crane structures and components. You will read blueprints, perform high-quality welding, and repair crane parts while meeting safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; technical welding certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years welding experience, preferably in crane manufacturing or heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with metal fabrication and structural welding.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, AWS safety standards.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and work in various conditions.
• AWS certification or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on crane structures, booms, and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Utilize MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques as required.
• Inspect and repair structural components for safety and standards.
• Operate welding equipment and tools like grinders and torches.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools for efficiency.
• Collaborate with crane technicians, mechanics, and engineers.
• Follow OSHA safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
