Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking an experienced welder to fabricate and repair crane structures. You will read blueprints, perform MIG, TIG, or arc welds, and ensure workmanship meets safety and industry standards.

You will work with crane technicians and engineers in diverse environments, including heights and confined spaces, while maintaining documentation and adhering to OSHA and AWS standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and AWS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification in welding preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of welding experience, preferably in crane manufacturing, repair, or heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, AWS safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on crane structures, booms, and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise welding.
• Utilize MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required by the job.
• Inspect and repair structural components to ensure safety compliance.
• Operate welding equipment and tools such as grinders, torches, and cutting machines.
• Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
• Collaborate with crane technicians, mechanics, and engineers to diagnose issues and provide welding solutions.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE guidelines (OSHA compliant).
• Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
