T&M Equipment Company has an immediate opening for a crane service technician to join our team in Merrillville, IN. Crane Service Technicians will work as a team with other trained Crane Service Technicians in the inspection, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of overhead lifting equipment. The majority of work is performed in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland area at customer locations. Daytime shift is normal with possibility of after-hours/weekend/holiday work as needed.

Summary of Job Functions

• Assist with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components of overhead cranes and hoists
• Assist with Inspecting overhead crane and hoist equipment
• Gain technical knowledge and skills
• Working at elevations
• Work as part of a team or individually as required
• Adhere to all company policies including safety, appearance, and customer service

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or Electrical aptitude required
• No crane experience required
• T&M will provide crane specific training
