Job summary

Georgia Ports Authority in Savannah, GA seeks an Equipment Technician - OT to inspect, service, and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on ship-to-shore cranes, RMG, RTG, shuttle trucks, and related equipment.

The role requires extensive maintenance experience, the ability to read schematics, safety consciousness, and stamina to work at heights in a demanding port environment. On-site role with competitive benefits and steady schedules.

Qualifications

Experience in industrial maintenance.
Experience with cranes or heavy equipment preferred.
Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic diagrams.
TWIC and driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Perform emergency response to operations requests for immediate repair of disabled equipment.
Inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, electronic, mechanical, structural, and hydraulic systems.
Reads and understands electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings and schematics; updates as-built or modified conditions.
Performs set-up, parameter download, and calibration of AC drive systems per manufacturer’s recommendations.
Assists Crane Operations personnel when necessary.
Plans, selects, and orders materials, tools, and equipment necessary for jobs.
