Job summary

Konecranes in Savannah, GA is seeking a Port Services Remote Support Engineer to provide direct technical support to customers, Field Service personnel and the Parts department. You will troubleshoot problems, propose corrective actions, assist with parts replacement, safety upgrades and modernization opportunities, and answer service requests via phone and email.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Background in cranes and field service support; knowledge of Konecranes Port equipment and components.
• Minimum of five years of related experience; proficient in Siemens PLC, Konecranes Inverters, Excel, Word; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems with customers and develop corrective actions.
• Log and track all customer/employee queries and open requests.
• Analyze call logs to spot trends and underlying problems.
• Serve as a resource to Field Service Engineers and provide guidance.
• Provide quotes and open service requests in the ERP system; prepare SRs for invoicing.
• Develop training programs for the Service department and field personnel.
• Maintain records of customer interactions to support continuous improvements and future requests.
