Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging in Houston, TX is seeking a Shop Helper to assist with loading/unloading materials, painting, rigging, and shop maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

You will help keep the shop organized, deliver items, manage tools, and help prevent oil spills, with basic computer use and a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Capable of operating forklifts.
• Basic computer knowledge to place orders and communicate via email.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials efficiently and safely.
• Perform painting, sweeping, rigging, and shop maintenance.
• Deliver items for the shop and run errands as needed.
• Keep the shop clean and organized; remove floor clutter.
• Maintain tools inventory and report shortages.
• Address oil spills, drips, and slip hazards promptly.
• Assist with other projects and duties as assigned.
