Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is hiring a Shop Helper in Houston, TX. This full-time role involves loading/unloading materials, painting, sweeping, rigging, and general shop maintenance to support a large crane fleet.

You will help keep the shop organized, deliver items, manage tools, and ensure a safe work environment. A valid license, basic computer use, and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Capable of operating forklifts.
• Basic computer knowledge to place orders and communicate via email.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-minded.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and organize the shop as directed.
• Deliver and make runs for the shop.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shop; all items off the floor and sweep daily.
• Maintain tools inventory.
• Clean up any oil spills, drips, and slipping hazards immediately on the premises.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Shop Helper performs a combination of tasks, including but not limited to efficiently and safely loading and unloading materials, painting, sweeping, rigging, shop maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and organize the shop as directed.
• Deliver and make runs for the shop.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the shop; all items off the floor and sweep daily.
• Maintain tools inventory.
• Clean up any oil spills, drips, and any slipping hazards immediately on the premises.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
