Job summary

BOSS Crane is seeking an Apprentice Shop Hand to support field operations, equipment maintenance, and shop activities. This entry-level role focuses on developing knowledge and practical skills in the crane and rigging industry under supervision.

You will assist with rigging operations, inspections, loading materials, and maintaining safe shop practices. As part of structured on-the-job training, you will learn equipment inspection criteria, proper material handling, and basic crane support

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn shop operations and crane industry.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.
• Desire to develop practical skills in rigging, shop maintenance, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, organizing, and staging tools, equipment, and materials for crane jobs.
• Help check general shop equipment for damage and report concerns.
• Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and transporting crane accessories and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and yard to support safe operations.
• Follow safety policies, JSA directions, and use PPE as required.
• Participate in on-the-job training with mechanics, crane operators, and shop personnel.
