Job summary

CICB - Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau is seeking a capable Crane and Rigging Instructor for a full-time, on-site role based in Deer Park, TX. Qualifications

• Strong crane operations and rigging expertise, including practical experience with various crane types, rigging gear selection, and safe load handling practices.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, ASME, ANSI) and experience applying them to lifting operations and training content.
• Effective instructional and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to learners with varied experience levels.
• Classroom and field training experience, including lesson planning, learner assessment, and use of adult learning principles.
• Attention to detail and strong safety mindset, with proven ability to identify risks, enforce safe work practices, and model proper procedures.
• Basic computer skills for preparing presentations, maintaining training records, and using standard office and learning management tools.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as crane operator, rigger, signalperson, or inspector credentials) strongly preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Deer Park, TX, and travel occasionally to client locations if needed.
• Prior experience in the lifting, construction, maritime, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors is beneficial. As well as Certifications Such As NCCCO/NCCER.
• Bilingual is a beneficial factor but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• The Crane and Rigging Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Deer Park, TX, responsible for delivering high-quality crane and rigging training programs to a diverse range of learners in the lifting industry.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching classroom and practical courses on crane operations, rigging techniques, load handling, and safety regulations, and evaluating participant performance through tests and practical assessments.
• The instructor will demonstrate proper equipment use, conduct hands-on training exercises, and ensure all instruction aligns with current industry standards, regulatory requirements, and CICB procedures.
• Additional duties include maintaining training records, collaborating with internal teams to refine course content, supporting client-specific training needs, and providing technical guidance to help clients improve safety and operational efficiency.
