Job summary

Veit is seeking a construction laborer to perform a range of manual tasks at various project sites. You will load and unload materials, assist other craft workers, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following established safety procedures.

Occasional travel and 8–10 hour shifts are common; union affiliation or willingness to join is required. The position offers benefits under union agreements and requires OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 6–12 months construction experience.
• Ability to work with equipment, materials and supplies found in construction work.
• Follow proper safety guidelines at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor at construction project sites.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Maintain a clean job site at all times.
• Identify and ensure underground utilities are located prior to excavating.
• Report any safety concerns to management and follow incident procedures.
