Job summary

Veit is seeking a physically capable laborer to work on construction projects. You may operate hand and power tools, assist other craftsmen, and help maintain a safe, clean site. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant safety certifications.

The role involves unions, potential travel, and 8–10 hour days with possible weekends. Prior torching and crane rigging experience are a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, six to twelve months of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of safety procedures; ability to follow guidelines at all times.
OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and safety precautions are required.
Ability to read and transmit written and oral instructions; strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to meet attendance schedules and perform manual work.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor at construction project sites.
Load and unload materials, operate hand and power tools, and assist other craft workers.
Maintain a clean, safe work site and report hazards to supervision.
Follow safety and incident reporting procedures and communicate concerns to management.
Travel as needed and be flexible with work hours; some weekends may be required.
