Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction project sites, including operating hand and power tools such as torching equipment, rigging equipment, air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Responsibilities may also include cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces to support excavation sides, erecting scaffolding, and cleaning up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
Regular requirement to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Tasks include sitting, standing, walking, bending knees, stretching arms, talking, hearing, stooping, or kneeling as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work conducted in environmental conditions near machinery, loud construction noise, variable heights, and varied weather (rain, snow, wind, cold, heat). Employees may be exposed to dust, vibrations, and hazardous materials.
