Job summary

ProLift Rigging is seeking a PLR Crane Operator to deliver lifting and hoisting services, performing crane setup, pre-operation inspections, rigging, and operation for client projects.

The role requires hands-on rigging, load handling, and adherence to safety procedures. Training will be provided, and candidates may undergo 3rd-party and customer-required certifications to access sites.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL with Class A or B is required.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
• NCCCO Rigger certification is a plus.
• TWIC credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
• Attaches load to rigging to provide support or prepare for moving using hand and power tools.
• Connects pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps.
• Cleans and dresses machine and surfaces of parts.
• Controls movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
• Dismantles, maintains, and stores rigging equipment.
• Manipulates rigging lines and hoist to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc.
• Selects gear, shackles, and cables according to load size, facilities, and work schedule.
• Signals or gives verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
• Tests rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting or lifting.
• Supervisory responsibilities: lead by example and confront when needed.
• Complete ProLift-specific, regulatory and equipment training via internal LMS.
• May be required to complete 3rd party and customer training for on-site access.
• Other duties as assigned.
