Job summary

Bracken Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Crane Operator to safely operate a range of cranes on heavy industrial construction projects. The role involves lifting structural steel, heavy equipment, and machinery, while prioritizing safety, precision, and teamwork.

You will collaborate with riggers and field supervision to execute lift plans, perform thorough inspections, and maintain detailed records to ensure projects stay on schedule and within safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years crane operating experience in construction or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of load charts and crane safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate mobile, crawler, hydraulic, and rough-terrain cranes.
  • Perform daily pre-use and post-use inspections of crane equipment.
  • Lift, move, and position materials according to lift plans and project requirements.
  • Read and follow load charts to ensure safe lifting operations.
  • Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and project supervisors.
  • Monitor weather and site conditions to maintain safe operations.
  • Report equipment maintenance needs and mechanical issues promptly.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and Bracken Construction safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate equipment inspection and operational records.
