Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a Crane Operator 1 for our Modular Mission Critical site near Richmond, VA. Operate fixed-cab telescopic cranes under supervision, perform basic inspections, assist with setup, and follow signals from the designated signal person.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CCO Telescopic Boom Crane certification, CDL Class A, and prior crane experience. Up to 75% travel may be required. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• CCO Telescopic Boom Crane - Fixed Cab (TSS) certification required.
• CDL Class A with medical card for carrier duties.
• Documented operator evaluation for the crane type, size, and work.

Responsibilities

• Review the load with the lead or trainer before lifts.
• Complete pre-use walk-around and report leaks or damage.
• Assist with crane positioning, mats, cribbing, outrigger deployment, and rigging as directed.
• Follow the designated signal person; maintain safe distances and stop signals.
