Job summary

TEL Staffing is seeking a Crane Operator in Florida. Pay is $40/hr with opportunities based on client needs.

Job duties include moving freight, staging products, and operating forklifts. Candidates must have strong balance, eye-hand-foot coordination, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with overtime availability and safety focus.

Direct-Hire or Temp-to-Hire arrangements may apply; OSHA forklift certification is preferred. Safety compliance is a priority.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods.
• Have a good sense of balance.
• Have good eye-hand-foot coordination.
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• OSHA forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Availability to work overtime hours preferred.
• 5 Years of pedestal crane (ships gear) operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as forklifts.
• Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
• Stage products based on customer orders.
• Sort cargo during loading or unloading process.
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
• Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment. This would include looking in the direction of travel, wearing a seat belt, driving at an appropriate speed, and appropriate use of the horn as examples.
• Keep work area and lift clean to avoid accidents.
• Abide by all company rules and policies in regard to conduct and safety.
• Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervisor/manager.
