Crane Operator (Foundations) (Travel Required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport.
• Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane.
• Supervise oiling of the crane.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Maintain communication with rigger while operating the crane.
• Foster open communications concerning safety issues.
• Participate in safety meetings and other rigger safety programs.
• Ensure all lifts are within load limits and correctly rigged.
• Inspect lifting gear prior to use.
• Follow correct lock-out and tag procedures.
• Complete and follow lift plans.
• Operate crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) Certification with Telescopic Boom Cranes - Swing Cab (TLL) written specialty exams.
• Follow safety regulations and meet set standards.
• Judge distances and slopes accurately.
• Make decisions based on verifiable standards.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch, using hands, arms, and legs fully.
• Good vision and hearing (either naturally or with correction).
• Ability to work in dusty or dirty surroundings.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Ten years verifiable and relevant crane operator experience preferred.
