Job summary

Metals USA in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Crane Operator to safely locate, load, and move materials across the production floor using industrial cranes. You will stage material for the next operation, load trucks, and complete the required paperwork in a fast-paced metals environment.

We require basic math skills, ability to read English, and knowledge of safety rules (OSHA) with the ability to operate material handling equipment and read measuring tapes and calipers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Knowledge of safety rules and OSHA standards.
• Good judgment and ability to follow company policies.
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in crane operations.
• Ability to load/unload material using handling equipment.
• Ability to read measuring tape and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Locate material for the job and move it to the proper machine.
• Stage material coming off production equipment on the correct skid, per work instructions.
• Load trucks and complete all paperwork.
• Perform sheet pulls when needed.
• Other duties assigned by Management.
