Metals USA is seeking a Crane Operator at our Jeffersonville, IN location. The ideal candidate will operate cranes, stage materials, and load trucks while adhering to safety standards and work instructions.

You will perform material handling tasks, read measuring tools, and follow all job procedures to ensure accurate and timely shipments. This position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a large metals processing company.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent is required.
• Basic Mathematics skills are required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to understand and use Safety Rules and Procedures, OSHA standards.
• Ability to exercise judgment and follow company policies.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in crane operations.
• Ability to load/unload material with handling equipment.
• Able to read measuring tape and caliper.

Responsibilities

• Locate material allocated to the job and move it to the proper machine.
• Stage material from production equipment onto the correct skid type and prepare for shipment.
• Load trucks and complete all required paperwork.
• Perform sheet pulls when needed.
• Other duties assigned by management.
