Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Crane Operator. You will perform crane operations, load rigging, and safety checks in accordance with load charts and industry standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, signaling using standard hand signals, and maintaining hoisting mechanisms; English proficiency required. DC licensing and NCCCO/CIC certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years related experience or training.
• NCCCO (or CIC) with LAT and TLL designations required.
• DOT medical card required.
• DC Operators License (for Blue Plains project in Washington, DC)
• English proficiency.

• Level crane using inside cab controls and leveling bubble
• Observe load rigging or hookup and determine safety of load using load chart
• Operate crane within parameters of load chart
• Use standard hand signals
• Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction
• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects immediately
