Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a crane operator to observe load hookups, determine safety of loads, and operate crane controls according to written, verbal, or signal instructions. You will maintain and inspect cranes and hoisting mechanisms, attach loads when necessary, and perform other duties as assigned on outdoor job sites in varying weather conditions.

Candidates should be able to work long shifts, up to ten hours per day, five days a week, and enjoy a challenging, safety-focused

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push and pull for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week.
• All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.

• Manipulates or depresses crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions
• Cleans and maintains crane and hoisting mechanism
• Inspects crane for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions
• May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane
• Other duties as assigned
