Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is seeking experienced Crane Operators to operate Hydraulic and Cable Cranes on various job sites across Virginia. This full-time, year-round role requires adherence to safety standards and active DOT-grade practices.

You will maintain logs, perform routine maintenance, and support projects with manual labor when needed. The position offers competitive pay and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid NCCO Certification as appropriate.
• Valid Drivers License
• Clean Driving Record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.)
• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening

Responsibilities

• Operate Hydraulic and/or Cable Cranes.
• Maintain daily logs, safety & inspection reports, and project reports.
• Perform general maintenance including greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning of tracks.
• Daily cleaning of equipment.
• Report deficiencies to foreman immediately.
• Must be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Various Jobsites

Working Hours: Start varies between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required.

For this role the base hourly range is $20.00-$33.00 per hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
