Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a dedicated Crane Operator to join our team. You will safely operate a crane to lift and position metal materials, transport items with magnets or grapples, and ensure proper loading and unloading with attention to load security.

Qualifications

• Crane Operator certification and/or experience is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a crane in a heavy industrial setting.
• Attention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of metal materials.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to crane operation and material handling.
• Familiarity with various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapples.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a crane to lift, move, and position metal materials within the facility.
• Lifting and transporting metal materials using attachments such as magnets or grapples and placing them in designated areas or processing equipment.
• Loading and unloading trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel.
• Conducting pre- and post-inspections of the crane, including overall crane maintenance.
• May be asked to operate the following heavy equipment: Crane, Shear, Loader.
