Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Crane Operator for our Cleveland, OH facility. You will safely operate a crane to lift, move, and position metal materials within the plant, using attachments like magnets or grapples as required.

You will load/unload trucks, ensure proper load security, and perform pre/post crane inspections while collaborating with crew members and supervisors to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Crane Operator certification and/or experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a crane in a heavy industrial setting.
• Attention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of metal materials.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to crane operation and material handling.
• Familiarity with various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapples.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a crane to lift, move, and position metal materials within the facility.
• Lift and transport metal materials using attachments such as magnets or grapples, and place them in designated areas or processing equipment.
• Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel.
• Conduct pre and post inspections of the crane, including overall crane maintenance.
• Operate other heavy equipment as needed: Crane, Shear, Loader.
