Job description

Job Summary:

Operate hydraulic rough terrain cranes with a capacity of under 80 tons. As a crane operator, you will be responsible for lifting and moving materials, machines, or products in various directions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacity to prevent overload.
• Operate cranes by moving levers, foot pedals, or dials for lifting, moving, or placing loads.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
• Direct helpers in placing blocking or outrigging under cranes.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure loads are secured properly before moving.
• Review daily schedules and loading instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Must have NCCCO Certification.

Experience:

• Previous experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Capable of performing skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
• Dependable with high integrity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Work Location and Travel:

• Located at 1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891.
• Daily travel within Florida and occasional travel outside, including overnight stays.

Work Environment:

• Full-time position with variable hours, including some overnight work and overtime.
• Safety-sensitive role with exposure to harsh elements and industrial hazards.
• Must pass drug screening, physicals, and background checks.

Physical Requirements:

• Effective communication skills (talk/hear).
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and handle tools.
• Good vision for monitoring operations.
• Strength to handle tools and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass E-Verify.
