A leading company in North Carolina is seeking a skilled maintenance technician with at least three years of experience in mechanical, industrial, or refinery maintenance. The role involves operating equipment, ensuring safety, and performing various maintenance tasks. Makes precise load placements where exact movements are necessary, to position the load accurately and safely.
Performs loading and unloading of equipment and supplies, especially around masts, antennas, and other obstructions.
Ensures precision positioning of equipment, lifting heavy machinery, components, beams, and lumber.
Cross trains in other positions and performs related duties as assigned.
Operates in a cab using pilot-operated joystick controls, pedals, levers, and buttons to lift, move, and position loads with hoisting attachments such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets.
Observes load hookup for safety, inspects, and reports on crane and hoisting mechanisms.
Maintains vigilance to follow directions closely and communicates effectively with team members via verbal commands and signals.
Identifies safety hazards and takes necessary actions to eliminate or minimize risks.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervision.
PHYSICAL / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work from elevated or uneven surfaces.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
Ability to work in Confined Spaces.
Involves frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and occasional climbing onto equipment or trailers.
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing between 35 to 100 pounds with assistance.
Requires visual acuity for job duties and eye-hand coordination.
Travel and overtime may be required.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical, industrial, or refinery maintenance experience. Basic knowledge of hand tools. Ability to pass equipment tests and visual inspections. Completion of Matrix Service Safety training and/or site-specific training. Must pass a background check and maintain an active drug testing status.
