Southway Crane & Rigging Inc. is seeking experienced full-time crane operators to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidates will meet all specified requirements and contribute to our safety-focused and customer-oriented service.

Summary

Ensures safety first, proper crane setup, and safe lifting, maintaining customer focus. Complies with all State and Federal laws, safety, and environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Review next day’s job assignments and prepare necessary rigging and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Complete and submit Field Tickets, noting all chargeable equipment used.
• Maintain daily payroll records and report hours by Monday 10:00 a.m.
• When not on a job, inspect, clean, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Promptly answer phone calls and pagers.
• Assist in training safe crane operation.
• Review crane manuals periodically.
• Clean and organize equipment and facilities.
• Read and interpret load charts and perform load calculations.
• Program and set up cranes safely on location.
• Ensure signal persons understand and perform proper hand signals.
• Perform proper rigging techniques for safe lifting.
• Inspect cranes, trucks, and trailers; complete vehicle inspection reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Current NCCCO crane operating license.
• At least 3 years of hydraulic crane operation experience.
• Ability to operate crane using hand signals.
