Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group currently seeks a heavy equipment mechanic (Technician) in Texas to maintain and repair cranes. The role emphasizes safety and on-call availability, with after-hours or weekend service as required by customer needs.

Primary duties include troubleshooting and repairing hoists and cranes at customer locations, performing OSHA inspections, and coordinating with supervisors to schedule daily work. Physical demands are high and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies.
• Maintain the ability to work with others in team environment.
• Attend company provided trainings and seminars as required.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program
• Other duties as assigned
