Job summary

Maxim Crane Supply is seeking an experienced heavy equipment technician in Boise, Idaho to maintain and repair crane systems across our fleet. You will diagnose faults, service diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and verify performance to OEM specs.

You will work with a cross-country team of 60+ branches, performing scheduled maintenance, on-site repairs, and parts fabrication to keep lifts safe and reliable in diverse weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or vocational degree preferred.
• 5+ years of mechanical experience with crane expertise.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose cranes and heavy equipment to identify faults, defects and malfunctions.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other components.
• Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand trucks for moving and dismantling equipment.
• Test repaired equipment to verify performance against manufacturer specifications.
• Fabricate and install replacement parts using specialty tools.
• Rewire and troubleshoot electrical systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Repair worn parts and perform routine servicing on fleet.
