Job summary

U.S. Sugar is seeking an Equipment Specialist to operate swing cab telescopic cranes, excavators, and loaders on a day shift with overtime as needed. You will work independently or in a team to safely run heavy equipment and perform routine inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities include safety-first operation, completing pre/post inspections, and assisting in training other operators. Qualifications include 2+ years' experience and NCCCO TLL certification, with English proficiency and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience operating swing cab telescopic cranes in an industrial setting.
• Valid NCCCO certification for swing cab telescopic cranes (TLL).
• Pass company-designated tests measuring basic skills, job skills, mechanical aptitude and/or other interests, skills, and characteristics.
• Must be 18 years or older with a good work record and disciplinary history.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to understand instructions and ensure safety.
• New hires must pass a drug test and other pre-employment background screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate swing cab telescopic cranes, hydraulic excavators, pay loaders, and other heavy equipment as directed by supervision.
• Conduct daily pre/post operation inspections of equipment and job site; complete inspection checklists.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Perform tasks safely and efficiently, minimize idle time, meet production standards, and assist in training other operators.

Skills
