Job summary

ALL Crane Rental of Alabama, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician and Mechanic for crane and heavy equipment. This full-time, non-exempt role in Theodore, AL offers comprehensive benefits and a $300 sign-on bonus after 100 days of continuous employment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of cranes and heavy trucks, interpreting manuals and drawings, and ensuring safety compliance. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical background is required.
• Must have basic mechanic’s hand tools.
• CDL is desired but not required.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery in variable temperatures and humidity.
• Ability to safely operate complex construction equipment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair cranes, heavy duty trucks, and lift equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed.
• Read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Interface with service writers, supervisor, parts, and customers.
• Prepare proper documentation of actions taken.
• Work with diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain safety compliance according to regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
