Job summary

Folk is seeking a skilled Mechanic for our client to assemble and test VX meters, AW, and mechanical components, and to assist in the development of test equipment. The role stresses reporting, proper sign-off, and a strong focus on HSE, quality, and ethics, especially around high‑pressure systems and rotating machinery.

The ideal candidate holds a Crane certificate (G4) and has hands‑on experience with rotating and swivel systems, pressure and leak testing, and the use of high‑torque tools;

Qualifications

• Certified mechanic or equivalent by experience and training.
• Crane certificate G4 required.
• Forklift T1-T4 is an advantage.
• Flange course certificate is an advantage.
• Pressure testing certificate is an advantage.
• Experience with rotating machinery (assembly and testing).
• Experience with swivel systems (assembly and testing).
• Experience with pressure and leak testing.
• Knowledge of static and rotating sealing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test Vx meters and AW.
• Develop test equipment assemblies and test setups.
• Prepare reports and ensure procedures are signed.
• Participate in HARC and toolbox activities.
• Maintain HSE focus during tests and assembly.
• Uphold quality and ethics per company policy.
• Assemble mechanical components following procedures.
