Job summary

Bigge Crane and Rigging Co. is seeking a Crane Assembly/Disassembly Director to lead crane assembly and disassembly operations across varied sites, directing crews and coordinating with dispatchers, brokers, and truck drivers.

The role requires extensive knowledge of procedures to assemble/erect cranes, and the ability to troubleshoot problems on site. Safety training, PPE compliance, and Job Hazard Analysis are emphasized, with focus on mentoring junior A&D techs and controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of procedures to assemble and erect cranes.
• Ability to troubleshoot crane problems on site.
• Strong safety mindset, PPE compliance, and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Ability to mentor riggers and junior A/D techs.
• Excellent coordination with dispatchers, brokers, and truck drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly and disassembly of lattice boom crawlers, telecrawlers, and RTs per manufacturer specs.
• Inspect cranes prior to build/disassembly and document condition.
• Manage load out/offload of crane parts and coordinate with site supervisor and LHE operator.
• Ensure safety training and PPE compliance across crews on site.
