Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an experienced Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our fleet at the Equipment Yard in Pasadena, TX. Responsibilities include electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, diesel engine troubleshooting, parts determination, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of diesel/heavy equipment repair experience, TWIC Card preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary certificate/degree in engineering or mechanic training is a plus.
• 5+ years of diesel/heavy equipment repair experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines and heavy equipment for downtime minimization.
• Determine parts and tools needed and complete shop paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in the yard.
• Follow standard operating procedures and document work performed.

Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our fleet in our Equipment Yard located in Pasadena, TX. The successful candidate will have experience working on heavy equipment, gas/ diesel engines, and hydraulic systems. This position offers:

• Regular 40 Hours+ per week (Overtime after 40)
• Overtime and call-outs as needed - overtime paid at time-and-a-half

Equipment Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
• Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
• Complete shop paperwork
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic is a plus
• 5+ years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
• TWIC Card preferred
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Per diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in the Houston metro area.
