Job summary

Ace Handyman Services Traverse City is seeking a skilled Craftsman to join our team. You will travel to residential and commercial jobs, perform small-to-mid-sized repairs, and discuss solutions directly with customers.

This is a W-2, full-time role with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no weekends, and a company-supported environment with a vehicle and tool allowances. You’ll be empowered to deliver quality work and grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Experience across multiple trades including carpentry, drywall, plumbing, tile, and electrical work.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for timely resolutions.
• Excellent communication, able to explain repairs to homeowners and managers.
• Presentable, customer-first attitude and professional appearance.
• Own basic tools and knowledge of required tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

What Success Looks Like

On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to scheduled residential and commercial jobs to complete a variety of small-to-mid-sized home improvement projects. You will assess repair needs, discuss solutions directly with customers, and perform the work efficiently and cleanly. You will also look out for our customers by identifying other potential safety or maintenance issues around their properties and offering to help address them.

Position Requirements

Must-Haves:

A strong overall knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, drywall repair, basic plumbing, tile, and basic electrical work.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess an issue and resolve it promptly and professionally.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical repairs clearly to homeowners, property managers, and office staff.

A presentable, professional appearance and a customer-first attitude.

Your own set of basic tools, along with the knowledge of which tools are required for specific tasks.

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-Haves:

Prior experience working in residential remodeling or professional home maintenance.

Experience in estimating jobs or discussing additional service options directly with customers.
