Job summary

Michaels Stores in Portage, MI is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events such as children’s birthday parties while delivering a fun, engaging guest experience. You will assist customers, support checkout, and help with stock and store recovery to uphold brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and children’s events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events (including children’s birthday parties) in-store.
• Assist customers and help them shop, locate products, and enroll in Rewards/MCC programs if applicable.
• Perform checkout-related tasks quickly and friendly, ensuring a positive experience.
• Support stock, planograms, and store recovery to maintain standards.
• Follow SOPs and safety policies; coordinate with store team and communicate effectively with clients.
