Job summary

Res Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Craft – Operator, Forklift to perform general operator duties on site with emphasis on safety and efficiency. You will operate backhoe, loader, rock truck and other equipment, ensuring loads are inspected and monitored throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include recording hour and fuel usage, performing preventive maintenance, and complying with safety and company procedures. Domestic travel may be required; per diem and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years’ experience with backhoe, loader and road truck.
  • 1+ year experience with blade, excavator, dozer preferred.
  • 1+ year experience with crane and trencher preferred.
  • Must be able to travel domestically 76–100%.

Summary:

The Craft – Operator, Forklift is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general operator duties (per skill level) at the project site.

Requirements:

  • Follows safety and operating procedures of heavy and light equipment.
  • Operates light/heavy equipment including, but not limited to
    • Backhoe, loader and rock truck
    • Blade, excavator and dozer
    • Digger Derrick
    • Crane
  • Inspects incoming and outgoing loads, perform all pre-inspection checks and monitor equipment during operation.
  • Reports results from pre-inspections on equipment daily, hour usage, fuel usage, deficiencies and/or maintenance required.
  • Performs work on various types of terrain, evaluating requirements for assigned work.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Crane Operators only:

  • Calculates crane capacities and weights for rigging and hoisting.
  • Maintains job site and materials in an organized and efficient order.
  • Maintains all mobile and stationary equipment by performing preventive maintenance, i.e. tightening, cleaning, greasing and other minor maintenance and repairs.
  • Notifies management of any malfunctions that occur.
  • Cleans interior cab area of equipment daily.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.


Safety:

  • Ensures that safety is the most important function and follows safe practices while working.
  • Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) occur before scopes of work commence.
  • Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.
  • Follows technical, quality, and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 0-2 years’ experience with backhoe, loader, roller and road truck required.
  • 1 or more years' experience with blade, excavator, and dozer preferred.
  • 1 or more years' experience with crane and trencher preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.

Per Diem of $95.00 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.
