Job summary

Wingstop in Montebello, CA is seeking a Cook who takes pride in quality food, safety and consistent performance across shifts. You will follow cooking guidelines, manage order tickets, and help keep the kitchen clean and efficient.

This role requires flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and holidays, and supports full-time staff with medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401k with match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Guest service mentality and desire to serve high level of food and service.
• Maintains calm demeanor during high volume to keep restaurant on standard.
• Manages multiple projects and timelines with urgency and follow-through.
• Food Handler Certification required.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acts with integrity and promotes Wingstop culture, values, and mission.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies including fryer shortenings maintenance.
• Learn and execute cooking and saucing guidelines to ensure quality.
• Prepare correct amount and proportion of food per order to prevent waste.
• Read and understand order tickets and prepare orders promptly.
• Coordinate ticket times to ensure on-time delivery within readiness times.
• Keep the kitchen clean throughout the shift and follow closing sanitation procedures.
• Partner with Manager on Duty on safety and team issues.
• Anticipate guest and restaurant needs by evaluating environment and cues.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and train new cooks.
• Assist other team members as needed.
• Follow directions from Manager on Duty and seek clarification when needed.
