Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Collaborate with associates to promote teamwork and achieve store goals.
• Prepare beverages to recipe and customer requests using proper equipment; complete transactions per company practices.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of coffee shop specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend coffee shop items to meet customer needs.
• Operate coffee shop equipment and stock/label inventory of ingredients.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; report discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and promotional ads; adhere to safety procedures.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needs.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks and report theft or fraud.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
