Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking an outgoing Bartender for Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course. You will craft and serve a variety of drinks, ensure guest satisfaction, and balance cash during shifts.

The role emphasizes mixology knowledge, friendly service, and strong communication to create memorable experiences for guests in a hospitality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of bartending experience.
• RBS unexpired certification.
• Display knowledge of drink recipes, drink and wine merchandising specials.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Working knowledge of drink service and bar terminology.
• Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
• Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Verify the customers’ ages.
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
• Process payment.
• Clean glasses and bar utensils.
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences.
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift.
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
