Job summary

Coury Hospitality in Oklahoma City is seeking a Bartender to deliver exceptional bar experiences. You will master cocktails, wines, and beer while engaging guests with a cheerful, hospitable demeanor.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, upselling, handling POS transactions, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar. Knowledge of recipes and wine by the glass is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or above.
• Outgoing personality, positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of wine and beverage brand selections, drink garnishes, prices, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the inspiration, ingredients, and technique used in all house cocktails.
• Able to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations.
• Knowledge of pre-check register operation and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of computer operations and ordering procedures.
• Knowledgeable basic sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly at the bar and seat them in a friendly manner.
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and take beverage orders.
• Prepare and serve cocktails and beer; upsell as directed by management.
• Execute wine service when necessary.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and drinks.
• Record drink orders accurately into the POS system.
• Accept guest payments and process transactions.
• Learn regulars' names and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Maintain bar stock and cleanliness; report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
