Job summary

Hudson House West Village is seeking a passionate bartender to deliver warm, polished hospitality at the bar and in support of the dining room. You will craft cocktails, expand knowledge of our beverage program, and provide guidance to guests on wine, beer, and spirit selections.

The role requires 21+ years old, a positive attitude, and reliability in a fast-paced, upscale environment. Training and growth opportunities are offered across Vandelay Hospitality Group concepts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Positive attitude and ownership of the position.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Experience in a full-service upscale high-volume establishment preferred.
• Willing to complete product and knowledge quizzes.
• Desire to create memorable moments of hospitality for guests.
• Willing to learn and grow within the restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and craft cocktails.
• Understanding of classic food, wine service, pairings, and service ware.
• TABC Certification, as required.
• Certified for food and alcohol service as required by State and Local Agencies

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and professional service at the bar and in support of the dining room.
• Craft cocktails and prepare beverages with precision according to Vandelay recipes and standards.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the full beverage program, including wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and seasonal features.
• Engage with guests in a hospitable manner, offering guidance and recommendations.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to ensure seamless service.
• Adhere to steps of service, pacing, presentation, and order accuracy.
