Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown is seeking a Bartender to deliver quality bar and dining experiences with attentive guest service. You will mix cocktails, serve beverages and food, handle payments, and maintain a clean, well-stocked bar area in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should have prior food and beverage experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous food and beverage and/or serving experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Must stand/move for entire shift and lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must obtain Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server’s Permit.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in the bar, restaurant and room service attentively and efficiently.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serve wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Serve food prepared in the restaurant as needed.
• Offer both flexibility and creativity to meet guest requests.
• Complete guest orders and accurately collect payments.
• Clean and wash bar ware, utensils and bar area. Restock and prep bar items as needed.
• Assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the bar, restaurant and kitchen.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
