Job summary

Almanac Beer Co. is seeking a National Account Manager to grow its chain retail business across California from our Alameda base. You will build relationships with buyers, coordinate with our distributor partners, and drive sustainable growth through strategic programs and launches.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will manage key accounts and travel to support promotions, forecasts, and performance reporting to ensure execution and revenue growth across major partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of beverage alcohol sales experience.
• Experience managing chain or national accounts.
• Understanding of the three-tier distribution system.
• Ability to travel within California as needed.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with major chain retailers throughout California.
• Serve as the primary contact for key buyers and category managers.
• Develop annual programming and seasonal opportunities with chain partners.
• Coordinate chain resets, features, and promotional programs.
• Drive incremental revenue growth across existing chain partners.
• Partner with distributor chain teams to execute national and regional programs.
• Monitor inventory flow, depletions, and forecast planning.
• Track performance of chain programs/mandates and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account projections.
• Provide regular reporting on chain performance, mandate fulfillment, opportunities, and risks.
• Travel within California to support key accounts and business priorities.
