Soho House & Co. is seeking a Bartender in New York to prepare beverages, serve food, and deliver memorable guest experiences at a Soho House property. You will greet guests, learn preferences, upsell, and maintain brand standards while working with a global beverage program.

You should be efficient, observant, and personable with a passion for craft cocktails. A neat appearance and engaging personality are required to excel in a fast-paced club environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in high-volume F&B operation.
• Craft cocktail experience and working with seasonally influenced perishable items.
• Experience making coffee drinks a plus.
• Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining consistency.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Flexible schedule and reliable.
• Tips certified.
• Micros a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee and drinks used at the bar.
• Maintain a clean and organized section and collaborate with other bartenders to wash glassware and utensils after each use.
• Educate guests and members about beverage options through House Tonic trainings.
• Describe daily specials and food pairings to promote additional sales and a great dining experience.
• Collect payment on all sold items and operate a cash register.
• Check IDs to ensure legal age for alcohol and tobacco, and monitor intoxication levels.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays and boost sales.
• Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment with Barbacks.
• Mix ingredients according to recipes to maintain a unified beverage program.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
