Recess Hotel & Club in Savannah, GA is opening Le Flâneur, a signature French brasserie, and seeking talented Craft Bartenders to shape the bar’s personality. You will create experiences with thoughtful, high-quality cocktails and engage guests in a lively, yet refined atmosphere.

Ideal candidates bring real bartending experience in upscale venues, can move quickly during busy periods, and enjoy building connections with guests.

Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience in upscale settings.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and bar technique.
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment and read guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve well-executed classic and craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Create genuine connections with guests and help build the social energy of the bar.
• Learn Le Flâneur’s beverage program, wine list, food menu, and daily features in depth.
• Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences and guide the experience.
• Maintain speed, precision, and composure during high-volume periods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
• Accurately enter orders, process transactions, and follow responsible alcohol service practices.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
• Work closely with servers, support staff, culinary partners, and leadership to deliver seamless service.
• Build relationships with returning guests and contribute to a bar people want to come back to.

About the role

Le Flâneur , the signature French brasserie at Recess Hotel & Club , is seeking talented, energetic Craft Bartenders to help shape the personality of the bar.

Le Flâneur is polished, lively, and social — elevated without being formal and energetic without becoming a nightclub. Our bar is designed for great drinks, genuine conversation, and a team that brings personality to the room. We are looking for bartenders who understand the craft, move well when business gets busy, and know how to create an experience without making hospitality feel scripted.

This is a strong fit for someone who has built real bartending experience in an upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, boutique hotel, or quality high-volume environment and is ready for something more refined without losing the fun of being behind the bar.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve well-executed classic and craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non‑alcoholic beverages
• Create genuine connections with guests and help build the social energy of the bar
• Learn Le Flâneur’s beverage program, wine list, food menu, and daily features in depth
• Make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences and confidently guide the experience
• Maintain speed, precision, and composure during high‑volume periods
• Prepare garnishes, syrups, mixers, and other bar ingredients to established standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, polished, and fully stocked bar throughout service
• Accurately enter orders, process transactions, and follow responsible alcohol service practices
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities
• Work closely with servers, support staff, culinary partners, and leadership to deliver seamless service
• Build relationships with returning guests and contribute to a bar people want to come back to

Qualifications

• Prior bartending experience required; upscale restaurants, cocktail bars, boutique hotels, or elevated nightlife experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and proper bar technique
• Comfortable working both thoughtfully and quickly in a busy environment
• Naturally engaging, personable, and confident with guests
• Able to read the room — knowing when to entertain, when to guide, and when to give a guest space
• Strong attention to detail with pride in presentation and execution
• Professional appearance and a polished but approachable service style
• Reliable, team‑oriented, and comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move bar supplies as needed
